I Speak for Cheryl (1): We All Want to Know “WHY”
Wow….it's hard to believe it has been 4.5 years since my sister, Cheryl Anise Bethea, loss her life, on August 25, 2014, to a senseless tragedy of domestic violence and there has been no conviction; therefore, no real closure for our family. However, domestic violence was not the culprit alone, Ferjus Bernard Moore was the man behind her brutal murder, so it’s not a mystery as to who killed her, but why, why, why is he not sentenced, yet?
Yes, I know a lot of you have heard her story many times over and you will continue to hear her story because I speak for Cheryl and until there is a conviction you all will be hearing a whole lot more from me. My mission is to continue to share her story because domestic violence is constantly happening daily and I want people to understand the seriousness and the effects of this unnecessary epidemic that is plaquing our communities around the world. The remnants of domestic violence are long lasting and life changing that can seep into many lives affected and linger into many years of pain, grief, and heartache, which are just a few of the dilemmas and this isn’t the tip of the iceberg. There has been a whisper in my ear, a tap on my shoulder, and a voice in my spirit to write. At the present moment, my independence is not quite up to par, so I believe this is God’s way of saying, finally, I have gotten your attention so sat your tail down, be quiet, and listen to me, as to what I want you to share with the people.
Stay tuned, as I Speak for Cheryl and Sound the Silence in Domestic Violence.
